TRUTH CHANGES EVERYTHING

I am a contemporary American journalist

raised in the age of unlimited news.

Now I want to help it all make sense.

Good journalism changes the world for the better.

But social media has blurred the line between journalists and media influencers in the minds of younger viewers leaving a misinformed public whose world view has been hijacked by noise.

My fellow journalists and I will lead the ethical evolution to re-enable the public to discern trustworthy sources of information.

Younger viewers want two things: ubiquity and authenticity.

Well within our lifetime, viewers (driven more and more by the behaviors of younger viewers) will eventually cease tuning in at any time or on any device. Instead, the news of the future must be available anywhere at any time, and must still be fresh.

As younger viewers replace older ones, traditional news organizations will compete with much more readily available sources of information. To win and retain younger viewers, news must evolve to discover and curate new content before viewers discover it in their social streams.

My career will reestablish the integrity and rigor that social media has erased. I would like your help.
